Background

Danielle began her articles at Richard Summers Inc. in 2026. She holds a BA triple majoring in law, philosophy and English (with distinction) and an LLB, both from the University of Pretoria. During the completion of her undergraduate degree, Danielle worked at the university’s newspaper as the editor of the entertainment section and took on the role of executive assistance to the director for the World Moot of International Law and Animal Rights, later becoming the outreach manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.

After completing her LLB in 2024, Danielle went on to complete her LLM in Environmental Law at the university of Cape Town. Her dissertation focused on unpacking how the factory farming perpetuates animal cruelty and social injustice towards those most poor and vulnerable within society. Danielle has a deep commitment to environmental law, animal law and social justice and hopes to utilise her degree to promote South Africa’s sustainable development in a manner that protects the environment and all who live therein.
